ARMYS ARE ATTACKING A 5TH GEN ROOKIE GIRL GROUP FOR BREAKING BTS’ RECORD

BABYMONSTER’s “SHEESH” (1.76m) recently surpassed BTS’ “NO MORE DREAM” (1.56m) to be the biggest debut song on spotify global by a Korean Group. Needless to say, this has caused ARMYs to go into a frenzy. They have accused the BABYMONSTER fans of spreading misinformation, accused them of lying and even went as far as to add a community note (which was later removed as X has confirmed that the community note was misinformation). However I need to explain why BABYMONSTER fans are saying “SHEESH” is the official debut and not “BATTER UP”. First of all, “BATTER UP” only had 6 members with one of the members, Ahyeon, being absent due to health reasons. Secondly, “BATTER UP” was not promoted on any music shows at all, unlike “SHEESH” which is set to be promoted on music shows, starting with “SBS Inkigayo” next week. Finally, YG has confirmed that “SHEESH” is their official debut song, not “BATTER UP”
