Jungkook successfully maintains his ‘Global Popstar’ title after blocking taylor on Spotify

Recently, Taylor made her comeback with her 31-track long album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ and the title track ‘Fortnight’ was stopped by none other than Superstar Jung Kook from achieving the fastest 100M on Spotify.

Last year, Jung Kook set the record for the FASTEST song in Spotify History to accumulate 100M streams with his hit debut single ‘SEVEN‘ doing so in only 6 days. Despite heavy competition of multiple new releases by huge Western artists, Jung Kook has continued to hold this record against all the newer releases. Some of the biggest artists have made comebacks after Jung Kook including Drake, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, etc and many more. Yet, Jung Kook continues to hold his records of SEVEN even creating more records in the meanwhile.

Taylor made her comeback with the title song “Fortnight” feat. Post Malone. Her song was in the race to become the fastest song to record 100M streams doing so in 7 days, the same time as Miley Cyrus with ‘Flowers‘ back in 2023.

Taylor and Miley are tied for #2 with 7 days as Jung Kook achieved this feat in just 6 days!

Several accounts on X reported this news with Jung Kook fans hyping them up and congratulating Jung Kook on maintaining his ‘Global Popstar‘ status even while serving for the country.

In the midst of all this, some Swiftes resorted to making racist remarks about Jung Kook due to their jealousy. Some even falsely claimed that Taylor achieved the record faster than Jung Kook but that was irrelevant due to lack of reliable evidence.

Meanwhile, Latto fans also celebrated her achievement of having the Fastest Song with a female artist to accumulate 100M streams on Spotify.
