Why?
Maybe it’s a Korean thing because I saw nothing sad about it. Nostalgia?
I watched the mv out of curiosity, the A version, and the ending makes an impact. It’s like a mini-movie about that golden age called adolescence with some touches of nostalgia and sadness.

So as a Caribbean history student, I have read this article and found it to be historically inaccurate. Shocking that people would just make up “facts”. One of the islands in my country had a breeding camp for slaves, guess what? They were very few mulattos there,they breeded the African slaves as they were perceived to be stronger physically and able to handle the climate better. Slavery officially ended in 1838 not the slave trade which was abolished in 1807. It is common knowledge that the poor whites had a difficult time in this region as opposed to the wealthy but the indigenous people, African slaves and post-slavery indentured labourers (not many Europeans in this group) were treated the worst.
