‘Seoul Music Awards 2023’, voting starts… Stray Kids → BTS, some fandoms are ‘boycotting’?
The first round of voting will be held from 12:00 noon on December 6 to 11:59 p.m. on December 25 on the official voting app of the ‘Seoul Music Awards’. The second round of voting is from 12:00 noon on December 27 to 23:59 on January 15, 2023
Stray Kids’ overseas fandom association said on SNS, “After a long discussion, we have agreed not to conduct voting for the Seoul Music Awards.”
In addition, some BTS fandoms are also boycotting the vote, “There has been no response or apology from the Seoul Music Awards for the damage that the fandom suffers every year.”
The ’32nd Seoul Music Awards’ Awards Ceremony will be held on January 19, 2023 at KSPO DOME

They’re extremely bias towards SM artists. Same as GDA
Is this true? I swear I saw armys tweeting to vote for this award, esp since jin, j-hope and jimin have solo nominations.
individual fans might but the big fandom associations/teams won’t. that’ll be the biggest impact because they are the best organized and contribute huge numbers.

ARMYs have been boycotting this award since 2019 when they gave Taeyeon’s Four Seasons SOTY instead of BTS’s Boy with Luv (BWL got SOTY on every other award show) lol
Internationally still voting because the app is free n no need money. But in SK, if I’m not mistaken it is paid voting & k-ARMY boycotted for years. Generally they don’t encourage to vote in paid voting award.
This made sense since the comments above did mention about paid votes. It’s my first year as an army so I am learning about a lot of things.

Voting should be banned. Awards should be given by merit of impact not by forcing folks to spend more time and money on something that doesn’t matter towards the outcome anyway

LOL hilarious given NCT Dream were robbed of a Bonsang at SMA 2021. They were projected to be 2nd for the Top 10 awards, but didn’t receive one at all.
